I put this on and havent been disappointed. The Duo rock band thing is working right now and these guys have the potential to go far. They have another album that is not on itunes and equally as good.

The most cohesive AOR type of album I’ve heard in a long, long, time. It’s cover to cover good. The pacing of the album is excellent. No filler. No track hopping. “Airlock/The Drop” sets the tone and 40 min later you hit “Magic” at the end and it just feels complete. Don’t listen to it on shuffle, don’t just grab the three tracks iTunes says are the most popular. You’re missing out.
If you search on YouTube you can find a live-studio gig on AudioTree. They are for real. And it’s a drummer and a guitarist. Crazy.
I like it in the same way, but for different reasons, that I like to listen to Collective Soul’s self titled first album straight through.
I grab songs off Apple streams all the time. It’s very rare that I find 2-3 other songs from the same band that I like. It’s darn near unheard of that I wind up buying the whole album and then listen to it every day for 2 weeks...
Great multilayered album, great tunes!!

It’s good to hear a real rock band in the midst of pop bands that get thrown into the genre of rock a great album worth buying👍
Exceptional Album, but
I got this around December and it’s been on constant repeat and shuffle since then. These guys know how to write great songs to jam out to.
The only thing that’s bad about this album is that the audio is messed up on Spotify and it doesn’t have as great audio quality as this one on iTunes
It’s just great track after great track constantly.
Favorites are probably The Drop, Magic, and Be My Fire. All the songs on this album are amazing. Please give it a listen
It’s been a long time since a band has caught my attention. This one certainly has. I can’t stop listening to this album! Great Tunes!! Can’t wait to see what they have for the next album!

Heard it on an episode of Magnum P.I.
This band came out of nowhere and blew me away! This album is just one jam after another. I am absolutely blown away with the energy, rhythm, and melodies on this album. Some of the best $#!+ I have heard in a good long while! Listen to any track and you’ll be hooked. That is an amazing thing in this day and age. Bands like this need to be promoted!! Thank you Blue Stones, you have given me a much needed rock, guitar riff, fantastically-beat driven soundtrack to blow off steam, meditate, keep driving forward. 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Headbang commence
2018 ROCK'N'ROLL ALBUM OF THE YEAR
I've been into these cats now for almost 3 years. The first track I heard was "Rolling With The Punches." Instant fan. Little did I know, we were just getting started.
Track by Track review:
Airlock - Intro
The Drop - A sweet, gentle build up that leads to some heavy riffs that hit ya right in the face, then as swiftly as the riffs come, they mellow back out. Great first full track.
Black Holes - Awesome guitar pedal work here, switching back and forth from distortion to more rhythm licks. Like a lot of their tracks they pivey back and forth from full on guitar engagement to a slower tempo, just to pick it right back up again.
The Hard Part - Think Black Keys, but with a series of "Da Da Da's" right in the middle. The breakdown during this part is super catchy, but SO on-point!
Be My Fire - One of my absolute favorite tracks on the album. Love the lyrics and slower tempo during the verses. The fellas figured out a way to inject a little funk and punk to the main riff. Solid track!
Lay - What a rollercoaster of a ride this one is. Slow and steady, great lyrics, and some killer guitar shreading during the choruses.
Rolling with the Punches - MY JAM! Holy moly Batman. Play this one at LOUD volume. One of the nicest riffs on the whole album, with lyrics to sing along to, and let's give some love to the drums on this one too. A+++
Little Brother - Funky guitar riff to start the track off, and again, the drummer kills it with how busy he stays during the verses.
Midnight - One of the more mellow tracks on the album. Beautiful arrangement from beginning to end. Not too heavy, but still groovy enough to keep the volume up.
Orbit - Instrumental interlude to the next track..
Magic - Hands down, this is my favorite song by them. From the heartfelt, vulnerable lyrics to the chill riffs in the middle, this song has it all. The drummer paces just right with the vocals at every step. In my opinion, this is their most complete song in the sense that they truly show the depth of what they can accomplish together. Definitely an appropriately titled track, as it is simply, Magic.

many, many flavors of Rock

Lets be clear: if the songs sucked there would be no point in writing this. They don’t. Quality , well written, catchy songs. Its how they deliver them that got my attention.
I hear many obvious influences: Black Keys, Jack White, Muse. But that is not all, for sure. There are moments when The Blue Stones venture from early 70s Brit blues-rock to full on Melvins-like fuzz within 1 song, yet it doesnt feel so jarring like that sort of thing tends to be. Instead, while each song stands on its own the whole album feels cohesive.
My only real gripe with this album is the drums. I understand everything is 100% digital now, but why, why , why must the drums be triggered?!?
Overall, Id say this is a good representation of where rock music is headed. The Blue Stones might only be "The Next Big Band!" like Ive been seeing ,or they may also be the ones who go a little further into the stratosphere. Too soon to say, but this is a great first effort.
